Box IoT¶
Per iniziare a utilizzare una box IoT:
collega i tuoi dispositivi alla box IoT
Connessione alla rete¶
La box IoT può essere collegata alla rete tramite cavo Ethernet o Wi-Fi.
Nota
It is recommended to connect the IoT box to the same network as the devices connecting to it.
Importante
Never make the IoT box accessible from the public Internet. IoT systems are designed to provide your database with access to devices on your local network. Exposing them to the public Internet would create a security risk.
Ethernet¶
Collega il cavo Ethernet alla porta Ethernet della box IoT e a una porta disponibile del router e poi collega la box IoT a una fonte di alimentazione.
Wi-Fi¶
Assicurati che non ci siano cavi Ethernet collegati alla box IoT e segui questi step:
collega la box IoT a una fonte di alimentazione e aspetta pochi minuti per far sì che si accenda
accedi alle impostazioni Wi-Fi del computer e seleziona la rete della box IoT. Il nome della rete è il formato
BoxIoT-xxxxxxxxxxxx(dovexxxxxxxxxxxxè l’identificatore unico)collega la rete Wi-Fi della box IoT e accedi. Il browser dovrebbe aprirsi automaticamente e reindirizzarti alla pagina principale della box IoT.

Depending on your operating system, the browser might not open and redirect to the IoT box’s homepage. In this case, open your browser manually and navigate to
http://10.11.12.1or any URL starting with http (e.g.,http://odoo.com).nella pagina principale della box IoT, fai clic su Configura accanto alla sezione Stato internet
aspetta alcuni minuti per la scansione delle reti disponibili, seleziona la rete, inserisci la password della Wi-Fi e fai clic su Connetti.
Nota
Una volta collegato alla rete Wi-Fi, la box IoT smette di emettere il proprio segnale Wi-Fi e il computer dovrebbe ricollegarsi automaticamente alla rete originale. Se così non fosse, effettua la connessione manualmente.
Suggerimento
If the IoT box is connected to an external monitor, you can also scan the first QR code displayed on the screen to connect to the network, then scan the second QR code to access the IoT box’s homepage. On the homepage, click Configure in the Internet Status section, select the relevant Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and click Connect.
LED status¶
The IoT box features two LEDs, located to the right of the SD card slot, which show its status and help with troubleshooting when no display is connected. The LEDs can be interpreted as follows:
Red LED lit: The IoT box has no Internet connection. Ensure the Ethernet cable is properly connected or connect the IoT box via Wi-Fi.
Green LED flashing: The IoT box is awaiting connection to a database.
Green LED constantly lit: The IoT box is connected to a database; no further action is required.
Pagina principale box IoT¶
Per accedere alla pagina principale della box IoT, apri un browser web sulla stessa rete della box IoT e accedi all’indirizzo IP della box IoT.
L’indirizzo IP della box IoT può essere recuperato:
connecting the IoT box to an external monitor: the IP address is displayed on the screen.
connecting the IoT box to a supported receipt or label printer with a USB cable: the IP address is automatically printed.
accedendo all’interfaccia dell’amministratore del router al quale è connessa la box IoT oppure utilizzando un software di terze parti per scansionare la rete.
Suggerimento
If the IoT box is connected to an external monitor or a printer, its homepage can also be accessed by scanning the displayed or printed QR code with a device connected to the same network as the IoT box.
Once the IoT box is connected to the Odoo database, its homepage can be accessed from the IoT app: click the relevant IoT box’s card, then click Homepage.
IoT box restart¶
To manually restart the IoT box, access its homepage, then click the (power off) button in the top-right corner.
Suggerimento
You can also fully reboot the IoT box by unplugging and plugging it back in.
