Visibilité

Building blocks can be displayed or hidden based on a visitor’s device type (mobile or desktop) or specific conditions.

To configure a building block’s visibility, open the website editor and select a building block. In the Style tab, under the block’s customization options, go to Visibility.

Mobile/desktop

To control the visibility of a building block based on the visitor’s device type:

  • Click the (Show/Hide on Desktop) button to hide the block for visitors using a desktop or laptop computer.

  • Click the (Show/Hide on Mobile) button to hide the block for visitors using a mobile device.

Then, click Save to apply the changes.

Some elements within building blocks can also be hidden individually. This is particularly useful for elements that are too wide to display properly on smaller screens. To check whether this option is available, select an element within a building block and look for the Visibility option in the element’s customization options.

Example

The red (Show/Hide on Mobile) button indicates that the selected image is hidden on mobile devices.

It is also possible to align the header menu based on the device type.

Conditions

Set one or more conditions to control whether visitors can see a building block or element based on their country (IP geolocation), website language, UTM parameters, or login status.

To define conditions, click the No condition field in the Visibility options and select Conditionally instead to display the available options:

  • Country: The visitor’s country, determined from their IP address.

  • Languages: The website language selected by the visitor.

    Note

This option is only available if multiple languages are defined for the website.

  • UTM Campaign: The selected campaign.

  • UTM Medium: The selected medium of any campaign.

  • UTM Source: The selected source of any campaign.

  • Users: Select whether the block should be Visible for Logged In or Visible for Logged Out users. By default, the option is set to Visible for Everyone.

For any of the first five conditions, choose whether the block should be Visible for or Hidden for, then click Choose a record… and select one or multiple options. Click the (remove) button to remove an option.

Then, click Save to apply the changes.

Example

A building block configured with the following conditions is displayed only to visitors:

  • whose IP address is located in Belgium,

  • who are viewing the website in French, and

  • who did not access the page through a tracked Sales campaign URL.
