Payments¶
E-commerce orders can be paid:
via a payment method made available through a supported payment provider, such as debit and credit cards;
via a bank payment;
in person, either on site or upon delivery;
later, after receiving an invoice.
Note
The payment options displayed at checkout depend on the active payment providers, the enabled payment methods, the availability options set for the provider, the customer’s country and currency, and the delivery method selected by the customer.
Payment providers¶
Several payment providers are supported. Each provider supports a specific list of countries and currencies and offers specific payment methods, which can be individually (de)activated to match business requirements.
To make a payment provider’s payment methods available to customers at checkout, go to , Install the relevant provider, configure it, and publish it.
Pay on site¶
To allow customers to reserve products online and pay when collecting them in-store, enable and configure the Click & Collect feature. The Pay on Site payment provider is then automatically installed and published.
Note
This payment method is available at checkout only for customers who select the Pick up in store delivery method.
Cash on delivery¶
The Cash on Delivery payment method allows customers to pay for their order at the time of delivery. To make it available to customers, follow these steps:
Enable Cash on Delivery.
Go to .
Select the Cash on Delivery payment provider and publish it.
Pay on invoice¶
The Pay on Invoice payment method allows customers to place an order without upfront payment. The sales order is confirmed automatically, and payment is made based on the invoice issued for it. This method is particularly useful for B2B customers, who commonly settle invoices after delivery rather than at the time of purchase.
To configure it, go to and select the Pay on Invoice payment provider. Then, restrict its availability if needed (e.g., by selecting a B2B-specific pricelist) and publish it.
Tip
Enable the Automatic Invoicing feature in the eCommerce settings to automatically send an invoice to the customer.
