As a growing e-commerce company with a Shopify storefront, operational efficiency and reporting was a critical issue. The company operated with fragmented and manual processes controlling online, consignment and trade sales, disconnected stock management, and accounting. Processes operated under poor integration of workflows supported by excels and to manage stock, warehousing with no connection to accounting. This affected operational efficiency, customer orders and provided limited business performance reporting.Our solution included the implementation of Odoo 14 with multi-warehouse requirements fully integrated to Shopify and third-party external warehouse operations. This created a seamless process for an external logistics company with Odoo acting as the master data controller and process driver to unify operational process flows and reporting for all channels including online, B2B, and consignment sales. This enhanced reporting including product margin and sales performance, optimizing ordering, and setting up stock relationships with alerting for stock levels and ordering to minimize cashflow issues and increase the availability of fast-moving items. In addition, the solution enables configurable P&Ls and dashboards for operational & management reporting. We delivered this as a 3-month project delivered in 4 sprints with full training and support.
