Hi! Is it possible to assign a ticket on the Help Desk module to an employee that doesn't have a user? 

I can't wrap my head around the extent of the actions (in Odoo) that a user has vs an employee. Thank you! Best​

Yeah it is possible,

add another many2one('hr.employee') field to the helpdesk.ticket model.
if you no longer need assigned to "users",just set it invisible="1" in its view.

Thanks so much for the help - and as for my second point: would these employees be capable of informing updates on this ticket? For example, through the email assigned to that Odoo team?
