That is not happening with out version. We will try to update our version and I see what happens.

I actually just tried this on runbot, using the Community Edition.

I created a new column, dragged it to the left, exited the project, then opened the Project Tasks back again.  It was there:

Perhaps you need to update your code?  I remember very early in the release this may not have been working.
