is there a possibility to activate the checkbox for confirming the terms and conditions during the check out process in odoo 17?

this is not right. The feature is located in another place. It is in the features of the checkout box:
Hey,
By default the Odoo 17 doesn't have the functionality for the checkbox for accepting terms and conditions. You need to customise it and also you can install the third party apps from the Odoo app store for enabling the checkbox while check out.
