Can I edit the information displayed by the external link button in Odoo?

Question

Can I edit the information displayed by the external link button in Odoo? I realized a few days ago that some fields have a button that says external link, clicking it opens a view where the information is, I want to know how to configure that external link, if it can be configured to show information that I want or if it only shows the information that comes by default.

Hello Camilo Chaguala,

- The External link to the Field displays the view as per the sequence given to them.
- That is the priority provided, for eg.
In the Sales view upon clicking on the external link of the Salesperson field will open the Simplified Form View.
- Where there are two main views for the Users
i. res.users.simplified.form [1] – Sequence : 1
ii. res.users.form [2] – Sequence : 16.
- Where the external link will always lead to the first priority.
- This can be updated from the UI
