We are using Odoo 18.  I would like to modify the PO entry screen and resulting PO Report (PDF) to include the product purchase description and vendor specific part number.  The should be pulled from the data already entered into the Product details (on the purchase screen).


In Odoo Studio, I do not see options for these fields (ie: they are not available under "Existing Fields" in the Form/Subview list where the products are entered onto the PO).  


Furthermore, Product entry section shows "Product" and "Description" in the subview list, but Description is actually the product name, not the "Purchase Description" that I would want on the resulting PO.


How can I add the missing fields?

What worked for me was adding a related field via Studio. Select content area and "Edit List View". I also set the field to required so we don't send POs off without their information readily available.

Keep in mind this Vendor # is already shown if linked via product vendor tab. This just provides additional visibility and is not able to be edited on the form. Top line is internal, italicized is vendor specific and what shows on the PO itself.


Drag the related field on to the list view where you would like it located.

On the pop-up drill down Product > Vendors > Vencor Product Code/Name as you wish.

Rename the field as you desire:

If you do not see the fields in the report after following these steps, you may need to check the report's XML definition or use a custom module to ensure the fields are included.
