When shipping an "out", why can't I add the Tracking info given by the Shipper into the Tracking Reference field ???? - I mean that's the whole point surely ?
Until now I have had to add the Shipping Tracking reference as a "LOG" on both the "out", the "invoice" and the Sales Order - ALL because there isn't a good way to keep track of this in ODOO - Hope someone OUT there knows ?

The tracking reference field on the Additional info tab of a delivery 'out' operation is an editable field. You do need to enable 'delivery methods' option in Inventory > Settings to view these fields
THANKS! 🙏 Jaideep - really appreciate your help. However, we are using a shipping broker to always get best shipping deals....and if I enable delivery Options this messes this up.
We have now instead created a looooooong Excel sheet, where we duplicate all the Odoo work, SO/Invoice/Customer and put shipping Tracking Ref. manually. A lot of extra work and an extra "place" to keep data....which I am NOT happy with.....but we needed a solution and a simple one.

Did you come up with a solution for your need? We have a similar need and are considering different methods to address our issue. Likely our own 3rd party app.

Sorry, we ended up using an excel sheet to track each shipping. It was just too complicated with Odoo...however, it would have been the right place to get it sorted.
I'll let you know if we get a better solution (hopefully).

Any updates?
I am able to insert tracking number in "Delivery / Out" stage in additional info tab.
BUT SADLY IT DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE INVOICE !
When customer can't see the tracking number on the invoice, isn't that absurd in Odoo ?
Does Odoo Staff order & not want to know tracking numbers ? LOL !
Please suggest solution !
