We have developed a form with various fields for a User to complete. Some of the fields on this form require the User to upload a file from a local or other network drive. 

However, before we save the selected file on to the back end database, we must determine what type of file it is. Simply reading the extension is NOT sufficient. We must read the innards of the file (ie binary code) to determine it true type. 

Does anyone have any pre-built code that we can leverage that provides this functionality?
