We have openERP7 hosted on Amazon EC2 instnace which has purchase,sales,CRM,HR,Inventory. Now we need to create a prodinstance with clean data. Can we take an image and host it on the same EC2.
Could you please advise & guide me

You can not have more than one IP address for the same box without virtualization or containerization, there is also no need for it. You can use different ports or a reverse proxy as an alternative or use Odoo's multi-database setup, as already mentioned.
There is no such thing as an "Odoo image". But you simply can create a new database on the same Odoo instance, if you want to run it on the same server.
