Material reservation depending on the delivery date EE14

Question

If I have a scheduled shipment that is far in the future, the material will be reserved over that long period of time. Is there any way to put the reservations depending on the planned shipment? For example, to make the reservation effective only 4 weeks before the planned shipment? As this happens very often in our company, this problem makes us a lot of additional work (manually canceling the reservering, etc.). (I know, in V15 there is a solution, but this does not help me...)

In Odoo, you can configure the "Reservation Expiration" setting in the inventory module to automatically release reservations after a certain amount of time. You can find this setting under Inventory > Configuration > Settings > Reservations. You can set the expiration time to 4 weeks, and this will automatically release any reservations that are older than 4 weeks.

Paul, AFAIK in V15 you can define a period for reservation before delivery. I.e., the delivery is in 3 month, but reservation is only -let's say - 4 weeks before. It's not on my own experience, so it would be nice from V15 /16 users to know, if this is correct and helpful.
