I intend to have a pricelist  that  is intended only for  goods of a particular  price or less, say 100$, 

would this be possible or does it need a custom module?  I was thinking of having  product category

and having one of the price list versions setting this category,  but im not sure how  product categories

work and whether i can have products of a particular price only,  the docs  for categories seem missing.
