How to set the price for a service

Question

We would like to set the price for a service (car reparation). The problem is that we don't know how to set the price in "hours" instead of "units" (the client will pay for instance 25$ for one hour of reparation). So how can we change the unit of the quantity ?

Hello Clara Vandenhove,

You need to change the "Unit of Measure" in product,  default is "units".

In product, select "Product Type=Service" and "Unit of Measure =Hour(s)". You can directly set UOM in sales order or invoice.

There exists a bug still that does not allow you to change the UoM afterwards. So you probably need to make a new product with the configuration that akshay has provided you.

Hi clara, iit isn't a bug. It is just a *constraint*. You only option is to creat a new product by following the step* Akshay* tell you.
