In Our Company we use different tools that are stored centralized in our head office. Imagine 4 Tools like "tool 1" , "tool 2" ... 

Very often we're unaware of who those tools were handed out to and where they are at the moment. 

My idea is a locker with some kind of wireless/electronic lock, that can be triggered with odoo by scanning a barcode for example. Also The tools can then be asociated to the Scanning technician. But I'm unaware of the capabilities of the IOT App and odoo alltoghether. 

My Idea is to setup homeassistant and use it as bridge for MQTT to generate Links, that would trigger those locks. 

Has anyone achieved something coparable yet?
