contact segmentation in openerp v7.0

Can any please explain about the "contact segmentations".

under the menu Settings ->Configurations ->contacts segmentations.

Segmentation is grouping your customers so you can campaign differently to them.

Segments:

1: VIP Customers with
consistent orders above $10,000
2: Regular Customers with an
order of at least $5,000 in the past
6 months
3: Customers with
less than 3 orders
