I have a Queston on Daylight Saving Time...

I understand that the DB does not have a time Zone, and time zones are based on the profile settings of a user as well as a browsers configuration. I see that there is a time zone setting for the company as well... but I am wondering about...

I have is a scheduled action to email Event Track contacts 48 hours before the track start date. This email is actually being sent out -49 hours instead of -48.  (I have the email running every 15 minutes so its actually like -49:15.

We are in the America/Chicago time zone. In our time zone we honor Daylight Saving time. So, 1/2 the year we are 1 hour shifted behind standard time. I suspect this is the issue? We will go back to standard time in 2 days on the 12th of March.

I just went and set a time zone on the Odoo Bot and the Anonymous User accounts to see if that helps? I'm assuming the Odoo Bot is used for the schedulers??

So I guess I'm basically wondering of Automated actions (Time triggered) take into account Daylight Saving/Standard times?

Hi Gray: A piece of trivia for the inquiring mind :-).

The "time triggered" Automated Actions are processed by a Scheduled Action called "Base Action Rule: check and execute". This scheduled action is configured to run as the "Scheduler User" OdooBot out-of-the-box. So in a sense you are right that the time-triggered automated action will run as OdooBot.
