This is immediately following a clean install. Why are there duplicates showing up? And isn’t this a potential disaster? Even the code names are duplicates.

Thanks, this happens on every install we do.
I checked and for example the Cash Account Types...
One is web#ID5:
Account Type: Cash
Code: cash
P&L / BS Category: Balance Sheet (Asset account)
Deferral Method: Balance
The other is web#ID19:
Account Type: Cash
Code: cash
P&L / BS Category: Balance Sheet (Asset account)
Deferral Method: Balance
There are also two account types for Equity, Income, Liability. I think it has to do with using a Chart of Account Template but this is really very frightening as a starting point for an enterprise level accounting system. I am going to rename the duplicates to ___2 (Cash2, Equity2, Income2, Liability2) so I can see everywhere is shows up and then try and change it to the first unnumbered entry.
That's what I propose. Duplication bug in l10n_us.
