Jordi Ballester is CEO of Eficent, a long standing Odoo partner. Jordi is certified Demand Driven Planner and Instructor by the Demand Driven Institute, and is co-author of the Multi-Level MRP available in the Odoo Community Association repositories.

This talk is addressed to manufacturing personnel, and people interested to learn how an MRP engine works. The talk will be presented using Odoo 11 Enterprise, and attendees will learn the key concepts of an MRP engine through some practical examples.

I will introduce the key concepts of an MRP: time phasing of inventory, explosion of requirements and proposal of new or rescheduling of existing supply orders. This will be followed by a demo in Odoo, where Odoo's core MRP engine will be introduced, as well as the Multi Level MRP engine available in the Odoo Community Association repositories.
