DISA Technologies, Inc. is reshaping the future of mineral recovery with its patented High-Pressure Slurry Ablation (HPSA) technology, unlocking value from mined ore and legacy waste to drive industry, energy independence, and environmental remediation. Headquartered in Mills, Wyoming, with additional operations in Westminster, Colorado; DISA Technologies has spent seven years refining its proprietary technology. Originally focused on R&D, the company transitioned into commercial production just over a year ago. 

Since then, the business has more than doubled in size, expanding to a team of over 40 employees and shipping mineral processing units around the world. Their units help clients across the mining and remediation industries, including those mining phosphate, copper, and gold, extract additional value, turning previous waste resources into profits.

Disconnected Tools, Fragmented Operations

Before Odoo, DISA Technologies operated with siloed tools that didn’t communicate. Purchasing was done with PDFs and spreadsheets, and tracking inventory or spend was a manual, time-consuming effort. The team even considered high-end systems like SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite, but quickly realized those were oversized for a startup just beginning to scale.

DISA didn’t need a massive ERP: they needed a flexible, intuitive solution that could grow with them. Brook Kimber, who joined the company specifically to lead this transformation, had worked with large ERPs before but recognized that Odoo struck the right balance. Easy to use and quick to implement, Odoo allowed DISA to go from scattered workflows to a fully connected operation, all within just six months.

​An ERP Built for Real-Time Results


DISA Technologies implemented a total of 12 Odoo apps in two phases: six in Q1 and six in Q2. 

The core apps now driving their operations include:

 Purchase: Streamlined RFQs and POs, with the ability to send directly from the system or via personal email depending on vendor relationships.

 Inventory manages over 7,609 customized parts, providing clear visibility across the shop floor.

 Manufacturing & Shop Floor: Centralizes production data for better coordination and traceability. 

 Project, Planning, and Dashboards: Ensure teams stay aligned with real-time updates and stakeholder-ready visualizations.

 Employees, Documents, Maintenance, and Knowledge: All connected, supporting internal workflows and compliance.

The dashboard and reporting features have proven especially valuable. DISA now produces weekly spend reports, tracks project-based purchases, and shares real-time performance insights with stakeholders and board members, something that used to require hours of manual updates.

Among the biggest wins: The system’s efficiency allowed DISA to delay hiring a buyer/planner, saving time and reducing overhead. Tasks that once took days or required multiple team members are now handled faster, with data updated live across departments.

And they’re just getting started. A recent inventory count demonstrated the need for even more automation, prompting the team to begin testing Odoo’s Barcode for streamlined item tracking.

What’s Next: Growth on Two Fronts


DISA is expanding both technologically and geographically. With two major divisions, mineral processing and uranium, they’re now focused on applying Odoo’s structure to their uranium operations. This includes implementing a secondary warehouse in Odoo and maintaining clear records for both commercial and compliance purposes.

At the same time, they’re looking to bring the Business Development and Sales team more fully into the platform. The goal is to manage sales orders end-to-end, offering a truly unified system from quote to fulfillment.
