User who opens an URL from a different company is redirected to a discussion page without any information what happened

Question

I have multiple companies and some users who can access many of them.
Users are following mail threads from different companies at once.
When there is an email sent inside Company A it has an URL leading to a record inside that Company A.
And if user clicks on that URL and has current company set as Company B he is forwarded to a discussion page without any information what happened.
How do I change that behavior?
I would like to show at least pop-up saying that user should change its current co

I think if user have multi company access then on mail click he can see that thread no issue. Why you want to change the user company ? And if user haven't company access but he/she is follower then it redirect to that record.
