Is it possible to see the history of changes made to a product?

A typical example might be that we add a new version of an engineering drawing to a product. I'd like to know whether Odoo can support seeing the change made, when it was made and by whom.

I found how to see changes in custom fields - this can be done in studio by going to "more" as per below

and then incrementing "enable ordered tracking"

Note that I haven't figured out how to see other system field changes (non custom)

Update: I also note that if I include this on a binary file custom field, it doesn't seem to work.

Hi  Paul Phillips,

You can achieve this by enabling field tracking in odoo.

Thanks Kiran - unfortunately I couldn't see what to do from your link. The article seems to be talking about when I'm creating a custom model and view and want to enable tracking on fields within that model/view?

In my case, I don't have a custom view - I'm just using the existing standard Odoo "product" view and want to see the change history to the product itself. Is there a way of achieving this through the standard Odoo interface?

how about using the PLM module for this? You can then see on the product what changes there were (ECOs), who initiated them and for what reason, etc.

By the way: To keep our drawings up to date, we currently have a link to the drawing management program in the works. This means that the latest drawing is always linked.

Thanks Dr. Thomas. That's a good suggestion, however I expect seeing each actual change will complement PLM as anyone will be able to compare what actually changed on the product vs what was on the ECO?
