Hi, I was toying with Odoo v14 on the website, and noticed that there is no Replenish on Order (MTO) under the Purchase tab in an individual product. This option was available in version 13.

There could be 2 aspects:

1) I am missing something, maybe a setting

2) There is a workaround for this in v14

Please advise. Thanks.

I see on Odoo 14 MTO are archived. But in case you need it, go to Inventory -> Routes ( Filter -> Archived ).

updated:

Since there no specific needs why OP needs MTO. my question is what objective will you achieve with MTO? ...

MTO and Replenish are the same but can be used for different needs.

There 2 cases in my mind,

1. If you don't care or whatever in any case/behavior on procurement. There no need to activate MTO, use newly simply use replenish feature that the best way and simple way.

2. In case you need to Link Order to Purchase. you still need MTO.

Thanks! Is there any unwanted side effects if I un-archive the MTO option?

Thank you. I'm also wondering why they did that.

@Tushar Kawsar & @Andre Bake.

I think Odoo trying to move and replace MTO to simply replenish feature. In case you don't need to link to the order its fine. check @Ray Carnes answer.

@Tushar Kawsar

there no unwanted side effects, It works fine. see my updated answer.

There is a new menu under Inventory -> Operations -> Replenishments. You can define the rule here for each products.

Thank you! Is there a video/document where I can learn more about this?

You don't need to unarchive MTO, just setup a reordering rule like this:

Then, each time you sell FINISHED GOOD Odoo will create a Manufacturing Order like before.

This is great, Ray! Thank you!

I think Odoo trying to move and replace MTO to simply replenish feature. In case you don't need to link to the order its fine, But if you want to link to the order it still needs MTO ( i don't know why ), I checked in my case, check on Purchase Reference it's like OP00000 and not linked to order. my expected ist likely SO00000. CMIIW.

Yes, I agree, the behaviour is different and replenishment is not a direct replacement for MTO.
