In Odoo POS, we can manage the product stock in 2 ways.

1- At the session closing - The Stock will be affected after the closing session.

2- In real time -  Stock will be affected immediately after the sale.

This can be enabled in the configuration settings of the point of sale.

In standard, Odoo allows to sell as many as you want due to the fact that the POS should be used in most cases for products that are available and maybe not correctly counted.

In order to be able to know the quantity available, you have to post the quantity in the inventory. So in the morning, you post how many meals are prepared. The system will then automatically count the sold one and tell you how many are left over. To be able to count, you have to activate inventory on the product.

In the morning, you have to put it in stock and in the evening, you have to put it from stock to trash, so that the meals are empty every morning.
