I want to create a customer and service manager for a customer. I recently discovered Odoo. Due to the characteristics, the server will and must be hosted locally.

The questions is the following :

  • if I pay the subscription the time of the configuration and the deployment. Would I need to continue to pay for the customer to benefit from the subscription. Knowing that EVERYTHING will be local.
  • Could I just pay the subscription punctually to have the latest update and bug fix.
  • Will this have an impact on the number of users and its operation?

Cordially

Yes, you have to pay every month.

Odoo Enterprise is licensed via a subscription model - you cannot use it without continuing to pay the subscription fee - no matter if we host (Odoo Online or Odoo.sh) or you host (Odoo On Premise).

Once you stop paying for Odoo, you must stop using it, you can review the full agreement that is required with each subscription at https://www.odoo.com/documentation/16.0/legal/terms/enterprise.html

Odoo Community Edition is not licensed the same way - it is 100% Open Source and free of cost.
