1. How can you apply a percentage-based discount to a product?
Select the product in the cart, click the price button, and enter a lower amount as the new price. Select the product in the cart, click the discount button, and enter the discount percentage. Discounts are automatically applied based on the customer's purchase history. Discounts can only be added to the complete order and never to a specific product.
2. How do you assign a customer to an order, and what is the benefit of doing so?
At checkout, click the customer button and select or create a customer. You can only add a customer after completing and paying for the order. Customers are automatically assigned when they make a payment using a saved card. Click the customer button and select or create a customer to assign them to the order to track purchases and apply loyalty points. Click the customer button and select or create a customer. Once a customer is assigned to an order, they can use multiple payment methods for that transaction.
3. How can a customer split their payment between two different payment methods?
Once a payment method is selected, the customer must pay the full amount using only that payment method. At checkout, select the first payment method and enter the amount, then select the second payment method for the remaining balance. Splitting a payment is only possible if the customer has loyalty points to cover part of the transaction. The system automatically determines and computes the split if the customer has multiple payment options saved.
4. How can you set a specific price for a product in the PoS application?
Select the product, click the price button, enter the new amount, and confirm. The system will override the original price for this order only. Custom prices can only be set if the product has a discount applied first. You must update the product’s default price in the backend settings before processing the order.
