we found a solution for this. Under normal conditions the description gets handed over from the sales order, during import however you need to also import the description (move_ids_without_package/name or move_ids/name), which is usually just the product name.

You can get the required details by using export option in the action button. For that select the required stock move lines from "Moves History" tab, after that you can see action button at the top of the screen, from there click export. After clicking "Export" you will have a popup window which shows already existing fields that should be there in the exported file and also option to add required fields, as shown below,

From there add your fields and click the "Export" button.
