If I want to manage a simple coffee shop with purchase of things to sell (coffee, sandwiches, pastries) and sale of those things to customers, without any production or processing of items, and I want the POS module, do I need to install:

Sales module

POS module

Inventory module

Purchasing module

or will installing the POS module automatically install some things for me?

Hi,

You can install the POS module directly. The dependent modules will automatically installed.

The Main Modules Installed with the POS: Invoicing, Inventory Management.

Sub Modules Installed: WMS Accounting, Decimal Precision Configuration, Discuss, IM Bus, Tours, Report, Procurements, Barcodes, Planner, Analytic Accounting


You can check the modules depends on the current one in the Manifest file of the Module.(depends: tag).

You can check it by activating the developer mode and check the form view of the Module. There you can see the Dependent modules in the Technical data Tab.

Thanks. I just thought that POS automatically installed the SALES module as well, but I guess it doesnt.
