Hi,

We are using v15 enterprise in our business and also use the repair app to manage repair of customer products. I'm doing little bit of research on how to better track our warranties and I noticed there's a 'Warranty Expiration' field which we can set in a repairs order. It appears right above the 'Invoice Method' field in the repair order.

My question is: does anyone know what this field does? I could not find any mention of it in the Odoo documentation and setting the date in the past or the future does not seem to affect the repair in any way.

Hi,

The "Warranty Expiration" field helps in validating whether the repair or service request is valid under the warranty terms. If the repair request is made after the warranty expiration date, the customer may be responsible for the repair costs.And to know more about Repair module you can go through our blog
