Upgrading from Odoo 16 to Odoo 17

Question

We are updating Odoo versions, from 16 to 17, and as we understand, one can update the version from the Update section of the Odoo.sh instance; However, version 17 does not appear enabled, and it is supposed to be available for download since it came out 3 months ago. I would like to know if there is any reason why the option to update does not appear.

In addition, we want to corroborate good practice to be able to carry out the update. To do this, you need a copy of the production branch insta

Hello,
Odoo 17 is set to be officially released on *November 8th*.
Typically, upgrade options become available after a month or two after the official release.

Therefore, you'll need to wait until that time to commence your migration to version 17.

It will likely be several months before 17 is available for upgrade on SH.  Keep an eye on our stagging branches, they will offer the upgrade for them first.  After they've had enough time to proof it out they'll open it up to the production branches.  16 came out for sh production branches in February of 2023.

We have just installed the Odoo 17 release and noticed as well that the upgrade is not avialable yet. In a previous post, I was told that the online upgrade would be available at the same time.
Can someone please confirm that the updater really won't be available before the end of this year / early next year?
