Im trying to use Odoo V11 Landed Cost feature and I get this error:

"The selected picking odes not contain any move that would be impacted by landed costs..."

1. My product is Automated Valuation and FIFO Costing

2. I create the LC, pick the picking, enter journal, add cost line and click compute

I dont know what else to do.  Plus Im not even supposed to use FIFO costing because we buy/sell steel every week, we rely on AVCO costing, but we want to use the landed cost feature but so far it has been impossible.

Maybe this app can help you:

https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/11.0/sr_stock_landed_cost_on_average_costing_method/

There's a useful discussion here: Average Cost and Landed Costs

Here's an example of Landed Costs from Odoo 11 CE:

ok but will that module you recommend also create the journal entry for the inventory adjustment after landed costs?

Also, about that other post, it talks about doing it but through the use of some other app. Im trying to make it work with Odoo's OOTB Landed Cost module.

I'm not recommending this app, just noting that it exists!!

I have setup Landed Costs before (without using this add-on) and checked the postings and it did work. Unfortunately I don't know why you are getting the error message.

Did you set it up in v11 CE?

No, it was in v11 Enterprise Edition.

I don't currently have access to a v11 Community Edition database, but I have set it up in v12 Community and again it works OK

Maybe this is a bug in Odoo 11 Community Edition only. You can log it in GitHub if that's the case (I don't think anything has been logged https://github.com/odoo/odoo/issues?q=is%3Aissue+Landed+Cost+)

I tried this in Odoo 11 CE and it works OK with Automated Valuation and FIFO costing. It seems that Odoo tried to make it work with Average Costing but it was withdrawn.

In our case I believe we have average cost no matter what we select in the product category card because we have a manufacturing module installed which if I recall correctly, was installed precisely so we could see Price History for each product. But I know that even if we set our Product Category card to Standard Costing method, odoo still averages the cost of new purchases. So apparently no matter what costing method I select, that Price History Module and MRP app makes my Odoo average cost. This might be the reason we get the error with landed cost v11 feature even when I set Fifo costing.
