Hi Maurice,
as from V14 the Replenishment dashboard is available in Odoo (Inventory --> Operations --> Replenishment). This dashboard allows to review the products with Manual reordering rules (but by removing the filters, the automatic RR-products are visible, too). It is a good tool for low-runner products, where we don't necessarily want to automatically replenish as per the defined rule. It is also useful for the products at the beginning or the end of their lifecycle, where we want to order more or less than the actual orders, because we expect more demand (which has not yet materialised in actual sales orders) or we want to convert customers to the successor product (in case of end-of-lifecycle product).
It can be also useful for products, which we usually manufacture, but sometimes we are taking excess stock from our other warehouses.
Another scenario can be, if we have multiple vendors for the same product and we want to order based on the reordering rules, but not from the default vendor.
You need to know, which scenario is applicable in your business. The above are thought-inspiring examples.
Best regards,
Viktoria
