Problem:

When synchronizing Outlook calendar with Odoo, an issue occurs that affects the customer experience. During the synchronization process, Odoo automatically imports all the contacts associated with the email and adds them to the Contacts module.

This is not desirable, since only the contacts specifically created by the customer, such as customers, suppliers, employees, and other contacts relevant to the company, should appear in the Contacts module. Including all the contacts associated with the email interferes with the correct functioning of the tool.

We would like to know how to prevent this from happening or how to correct it as appropriate.

I need help.

This module helps you sync your Outlook contacts directly with Odoo v17. It connects your Microsoft Outlook account with Odoo, so any contact you add or update in Outlook will automatically appear in Odoo, and vice versa. No need to manually import/export contacts. It's useful for sales teams, managers, and anyone who uses Outlook to manage contacts daily.

Hello Karol!

This is the standard behavior of synchronisation with Outlook Calendar (and also for Google Calendar).

The synchronisation extracts information about your meeting attendees and, if there is no match with existing contacts in your database, it automatically creates a contact in your database using the email address newly added to the contact list in your database.

As the Odoo calendar module needs contacts (res.partner records) to function properly, this is a behavior that cannot be avoided in standard.
