odoo 9 interface

Question

Hello,
I am testing out odoo 9 and have a working installation of it, but for some reason the user interface is overlapping a lot of links and its making it very difficult to navigate through the system. I downloaded the code from github 9.0 branch.  has anyone else had this problem so far?

When you activate the debug mode, the "Apps" menu is duplicated.
And i totally dislike the menuitems on the sidebar that are links but dont change at all when clicked (example: Apps under Apps and Dashboard under Settings). I wonder if this something that Odoo will improve or will be left to partners to modify by themselves.
