I have a website contact us form set to send an email.

The recipient email address is set as one within the website domain - example if the website was websitedomain .com the recipient address would be user@websitedomain

User enters their details into the contact us form which in turn should send an email to the recipient email address.

This is failing, upon checking outgoing mail in Odoo I receive the following failure reason: SMTPDataError 554:
Message rejected: Email address is not verified. The following identities failed the check in region CA-CENTRAL-1:

AWS is configured to accept verified domains however Odoo standard behaviour seems to be: user enters email address -> Odoo -> send email to recipient email from the "users email address"

AWS won't allow this as it's not a verified domain as no domain outside of the company will be?

I would expect the behaviour to be:

user enters email address -> Odoo -> Odoo then sends the email to the recipient address from an adress within the domain

Example:  user@gmail -> Odoo -> user@websitedomain -> recipient@websitedomain

I'd appreciate any feedback or thoughts on this.
