I want to make something for making it possible to make quite complex so's.

I try to explain it with a simple example:

1th line: 2 products of type table

When I create a second order line with products of the type chair the quantity should automatically be set to eg. 8 chairs (4/table).

What is the best approach to do this?

Thank you

You can define product kits (also called sets or bundles) for that purpose.

Thank you for that reply, but this is not really what I'm looking for. Besides the fact that we should purchase two more modules (inventory and production) it doesn't cover the load what we are what we are looking for. To take the example of a table, if you use sets you can add legs, screws, ... to a certain tabletop. The problem is that we have like 20 different tabletops that can be combined with 10 different table-legs and 3 different screw-types depending on the type of table-top. There are like +1000 different combinations possible. I don't know if it is even possible in sets. The idea is that a salesman/woman can assemble a table without thinking of the technical stuff. like, select table top, select the legs that are allowed for that table top. Automatically get a certain amount of legs for the size of the table, ... Also I noticed, the bom-kit function only calculates the cost of the kit and not the sale price of it. So, I keep looking. I do understand that my question left a lot open and I will modify it so it is more clear.
