Hi,

When you relocating items from one location to another you should be able to specify the quantity, say if one shelf is full and you wanted to move the product to another shelf in that same location.

Why isn't there an option to enter the quantity you want to relocate within the Inventory Adjustments screen?

Thank you for the suggestion.

So the ' Relocate' option within the Inventory Adjustments screen is use to move the product and all the quantities from one location to another.

Hii,

Method 1: Internal Transfer (more flexible)

  1. Go to Inventory → Operations → Transfers.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Choose:
    • Operation Type: Internal Transfer
    • Source Location: e.g., WH/Stock/Shelf A
    • Destination Location: e.g., WH/Stock/Shelf B
  4. Under the Operations tab, manually enter the product and quantity to move.
  5. Confirm and validate.

This allows full control over the quantity and batch/lot selection if needed.

Method 2: Enable "Detailed Operations"
If you're using routes and multi-step operations (e.g., "Pick + Pack + Ship"), you can enable "Detailed Operations" on transfers, which lets you:

  • Split lines
  • Specify serial/lot numbers
  • Enter custom quantities per line
