I have Products A1, A2, A3, with Internal Reference for A1 as 111, A2 as 222, A3 as 333. These three products are located in Rack 1, Rack 2, Rack 3, respectively. In Odoo Inventory Adjustment Screen, the three products shows "Available Qty" and "Counted Qty" as "1". I want to use an Excel file to upload to Odoo and set the three products to ZERO (0) in the mentioned rack locations.

I tried the standard Odoo Inventory Adjustment Template setting column headers QUANTITY and Counted Quantity to ZERO. After Uploading, still the Available and Counted shows as "1". WHY???

Next I tried to add the location WH/Stock/Rack 1 to Rack 3 under column header LOCATION. I set to ZERO the Available, Counted and Quantity column headers. Under PRODUCT Header, I placed [111] A1, [222] A2, and [333] A3.

But still the quantity for A1, A2, A3, is still 1. WHY???

To get what you need, it is important to know that any data import must first export the correct fields, in this particular case always export the external IDs.

We select the products to adjust and look for the Export option:

We locate and select the option to export compatible with import

And we would select the fields, the only one we require is the counted quantities field, the location and product field will only serve as a reference.

I offer you an example with different locations of the same product, it is important that you do not delete the ID column since it is important.

we modify the quantity to 0

And it's just a matter of importing the data.

It is important to deselect the location and product fields as they are not useful

And we already have the products counted, it's just a matter of applying them.

A little variation of the explanation from Leonardo:

Go to Inventory->Operations->Inventory Adjustment.

Set filter for the products / Locations you want to count.  Select all. Go to Action Export to Excel with parameter "I want to update".  Then you get the xml ID field that identify each record for your upload.

In  Excel, modify the qty to actual count.  Go to inventory favourites Import.  Upload file.  Make sure the qty field is set to update Counted Quantity.

After upload set filter to To Apply.  Press Apply all.  You get a pop up to enter a reference.
