Accounting: How to use Tax Cloud in Multi-Company?

If you are in a multi-company environment in Odoo and want to use Tax Cloud for both companies, what to do?
Solution:
You should have a Tax Cloud account per company you want to use Tax Cloud for so their tax reporting don't get grouped together
Set up Company 1 with Tax Cloud with standard configuration
For the second company, go to your System Parameters
Create two new parameters:
Your keys:
IMPORTANT: the 2 in the keys above reflects the ID of the company you want this to relate to. so if your company ID is 3, that last # should be 3 |
Note: You should do that if your companies are separate from the perspective of revenue reporting. If they don't, Tax Cloud may incorrectly report total revenue of the customer based on all companies and also charge tax for non nexus states based on total revenue instead of revenue for just one company. |
