I have a scenario where products are made to order and this works fine when combined with minimum stock rule to generate the manufacturing order based on an existing sales order.
The current parameters are:
Finished Product Routes: MTO, Manufacture
Route Rules: MTO (Stock -> Customers(MTO)), Manufacture (Manufacture)
Source Location for supply of products to customer: ABFIN:Stock
Source Location for supply of raw materials to production warehouse: ABWH:Stock
What I want to do is also generate a procurement for raw materials from the raw materials warehouse (ABWH) based on the same sales order. I created a rule for this indicating the procurement location as ABFIN:Stock and source as ABWH:Stock but the procurement is not generated.
How do I solve this problem?
P.s. There are many raw materials required for production
Problem solved! A new reordering rule for the raw materials using the ABFIN:Stock as location was the configuration that was missing. Also helps to set a re-supply warehouse.
