There are two things to solve here, for the website check my answer bellow, but you need to have the lang created in the backed and for that you need to take a look at: https://www.odoo.com/forum/ayuda-1/question/how-to-implement-malayalam-translation-in-odoo-8-9-101502#answer_104550

Hi preethy

After you install the language in your database with the website you could manage translations available for the website like in the image below

After that you should be able to select the desired language in the website footer to change between those languages. By default (like everything in Odoo) all the views have their base in english and you need to translate it into the specific language. For the website is the same and you could translate all the terms by switching to the language and just edit the page. That will allow you to translate the website page terms into the current language, like:

My answer was posted using Odoo v8 website but it's pretty much the same for v9

I have loaded my language in odoo and set Website Admin/Settings/language/default language to my desired language but it still loads frontend website with /en_US (English) language.

How can I fix it?

Load the Mayalam language on "Settings/Languages" and set the website languages and the default website language in WebsiteAdmin. Looking at the Odoo translation site on Transifex (https://www.transifex.com/odoo/odoo-9/dashboard/) I can see that only 2 % of Odoo 9.0 are translated to Mayalam so far. You might consider to participate in the translation on Transifex.

Hai,

I want to type Malayalam from back end (am using odoo 9) then want to display it in front end of odoo.

Can any one help ?

Where contents are entered and maintained, is not a matter of language. In Odoo most dynamic contents are maintained in the backend, most of the static content is maintained in the frontend using the Website Builder.

I want to enter data in Malayalam. In settings when i load 'load a translation', i can't see the language 'Malayalam'.....

Can any one help ?

Maybe it is not yet loaded as the translation status is 2%. Please revert to Sinoj Sebastian, who is the coordinator of the malayam translation: https://www.transifex.com/odoo/teams/41243/ml_IN/

You mentioned this post from dep: https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/how-to-implement-malayalam-translation-in-odoo-8-9-101502#post_reply

I have to confess that I do not understand dep's answer. Unfortunately I can't help you further.
