What is the difference when creating invoice from accounting module vs sales module? Which is more accurate and why?

Invoice from sales order it will link sales order lines with invoice line so you can track how many invoice qty done against ordered qty. From accounting there is no linking on with sales order line.
so which is more accurate in terms of total?
for example I invoiced on the accounting module, as you said it will not link to sales, so what will happen now
You can do from sales module and if you have already did you can cancel invoices or you can remember manually for some invoices
