How can we stop Odoo from automatically assigning serial numbers to devices that are in the orders?

It would better for us if Odoo does not automatically assign serial numbers to orders. We prefer that we will just scan the serial numbers only at the point that we are ready to ship which is the time that we are validating the delivery order within the Inventory application of Odoo.

have you found a solution? auto assign in deliveries has been causing errors

I guess you have already solved this, but this is how I did it in case anyone else are looking for the answer.

Go to Settings\Technical\Sequences, find "Serial Numbers" and deactive it.
