We're using Authorize.Net as our only payment acquirer on enterprise Odoo.sh v13.  We've been handling the payments in Odoo per the configuration of Authorize.Net.  In the past few months we've been exploring handling payments on Authorize.Net's website via the configuration option for "redirection to the acquirer website".  What we found when enabling that option, however, was that the "Manage payment methods" (/my/payment_method) link was removed from the website.  We put the link back and found that the portion that allowed you to add a card was missing.  At that point we stopped digging.

Is anyone else using Authorize.Net with the redirection to the acquirer website configuration option?  How are you handling the management of payment methods for customers?

One other thing.  Yes, we are using v13 currently and looking to upgrade soon, so any options would preferably deal mostly with configuration changes and only minimal code changes.

Thanks.

I hadn't planned to answer my own question, but I got a response back and no one else has volunteered, so here goes.  For future people who find this post I have received the following information:

The redirect to the acquirer website configuration option is deprecated in Odoo v15.  This decision was made due to Authorize deprecating routes in their API that Odoo had been using.  The option still exists in v14, but if you are using the redirect to acquirer website option it will only be supported by Odoo for 1 more year if you are on v14.

There is a workaround to get the manage payment methods page to display, but it doesn't include an option to add payment methods, only to delete them, and that requires some customization.

Recommendation: handle payments in Odoo.  If you are not doing so already and you are using Authorize.net consider either using a different payment acquirer or switching to handling payments in Odoo.

Hi @Murray Carson, could you please advise who stated that the support for Authorize.net redirect to payment acquirer was being depreciated? It's been a year since you posted this and we're starting to have intermittent problems with e-Commerce sales, our customers are getting intermittent errors about our API keys not working.

Please advise as this could help the team that is looking at our case troubleshoot the issue.

Thank you,

Faustino R.
