I am making a custom module, and am trying to figure out if it is possible for my module to view and use inventory data from the warehouse module. If so, how can I go about doing this?

Absolutely.
If you look at other modules that access stock, you should be able to pick out exactly what you need.

You have to inherit original modules and you can create new views and can fulfill your requirements.
