I have inherited an existing view, made a few customizations and everything works fine, as its supposed to. When i try to view the code in Edit Form View (debug mode) the customized code doesn't show up and yet the view is functioning as it's supposed to so my question as a newbie to odoo is why doesn't my modified code show up in debug mode?

Click on the inherited views tab,
Then you can see the inherited views of the corresponding view.

By default it will show only default view
in Inherited views tab will show the changes.
