Hi there , I've installed (Sales) module and I tried to add a new customer but when I hit save a red bob-up appears with the following :  

The following fields are invalid:
Account Receivable
Account Payable

Please someone tell me what is wrong here because I'm new to Odoo

Install a chat of account. You probably skipped the wizard that asked to select a chat of account at the creation of the database.


If you install a chat of account, from the Settings menu of Invoicing/accounting app, those field will automatically get a default value.

Hello Fabien@ I had this scenario before. and resolved it as u said. but What if a company only wanted to maintain a customer contact and don't want accounts.

Fabien@ I had this scenario before. and resolved it as u said. but What if a company only wanted to maintain a customer contact and don't want accounts. if it must then Please make auto install of account or chart of account while installing sales or any other module using customer(res.partner).

You have to install accounting module, once you did it will be solved
