We are a manufacturer that caters to design firms and retail stores. In these companies, there is usually:

  • The Owner
  • Accounting Associate
  • Sales People

The owner and accounting associate may not place orders but will have a need to view open orders for their company in the portal. Also, lets say sales person #1 places an order and then goes on vacation. Sales person #2 may need access to sales person #1's orders to follow up for their customer. 

From my understanding, there is no way to provide portal access to all child contacts of a single company where they can view all orders, invoices, quotes, etc. Surely I am wrong?!? 

Our implementation specialist mentioned adding everyone as followers, but that is far too much leg work when you may have 15+ sales people in a company. Plus, I don't want emails being sent to sales people that have no need to receive them. 

How can I provide the same portal view/access to all child accounts under the same parent account?

This is the OCA app you want to use, or basically configure the security rules to match as defined in the module.
