I'm setting up odoo 18 for a restaurant and I've set up bills of materials for each dish and the routes for production. I'd like each sale of a dish at the POS to trigger consumption of the ingredients in the stock, which isn't working at the moment.
I'd like your help to solve this problem.

In a default PoS and MRP setup, the process vaguely outlined, should work by default.
If MRP is a type Kit:
Odoo will automatically adjust the Quantity On Hand upon payment in PoS
If MRP is type Manufacture:
You could for example set up a 0,0,1 replenishment rule - Odoo will create a Manufacturing Order upon closing the PoS for final consumption. This MO, by default, has to be produced manually then.
If this doesn't help you will have to be more specific about what isn't working by sharing your actual configuration and desired workflow.

Yes indeed, I've already set up this process with a Manufacture type production, but I'd like the production to be automatic and not manual.
That's the crux of the problem.
The Kit type doesn't suit me as it only transfers from the default stock, whereas in my case the dishes are produced from the kitchen stock and the drinks from the bar, so after testing I rejected this type
You could have different Routes and Operation types for food and drink, each one picking stock from the appropriate location (kitchen or bar).
